Owner
and director of Praise Academy, Patrice Ambroise,
was called to the Lord at the tender age of 12. Patrice has
been dancing since the age of 3 and cheerleading since the
age of 10. Patrice became a competitive dancer at the age
of 10 when she performed and won her first solo.
Competing
in the arts of Jazz, Ballet, Acrobatics, Lyrical Jazz, and
Tap across the country has earned her countless first place,
high score, and overall awards. Her first at age 13 television
appearance was in South Carolina where she competed and won
first place for solo performance. Patrice became assistant
instructor at the age of 12 and a private instructor at the
age of 19.
Patrice
choreographed and made her first Liturgical (worship) Dance
appearance at the age of 12. At this moment she knew her calling
was to worship and teach dance to the glory of God. She went
on to minister through dance at retreats, workshops, weddings,
and church services. Patrice also became a member of the dynamic
Liturgical Dance Group Unified in Praise. As a cheerleader
Patrice has excelled since her first set of pom-poms. She
cheered pop-warner for 3yrs and became a varsity cheerleader
her freshman year of high school. Her freshman year of college
Patrice tried out for the New England Patriots Cheerleaders
and became the only rookie on her line that year.
Patrice was also given the honor of being Ms. September 1995
her rookie year of cheering with the Patriots. During her
years with the Patriots Patrice performed games, major events,
charities, cheerleading camps, and made TV appearances. Patrice
began coaching cheerleading in 1995 for pop-warner and All
Star teams, She became Stonehill Colleges Head Coach in 2003
and took them to two Nationals Competitions where the placed
in the top ten in Daytona Beach Florida. Stonehill also were
Regional Champions in 2005.
Patrice has now put her focus into
Praise Academy where she can fulfill the vision that God gave
her as a child. She desires for every student young or older
to leave her studio with such a peace in God. She desires
that every student be the best he or she can be and encourages
each one to draw from the strength that God has given to do
so.
